DESCRIPTION:This roundtable meeting will discuss:\n\n  The upcoming public hearing on December 12\, 2024 about the Michigan Building Code changes. You can submit comments to LARA-BCC-Rules@michigan.gov\n\nAccording to LARA\, "The purpose of the public hearing is to allow persons an opportunity to present data and comments on the general need to update the current Michigan residential code with the 2024 edition of the International Residential Code."\n\n\n\n  2025 Lunch & Learn Educational Topics - The Council may review our new Educational Interests Survey Results.\n\n  We may also get an update on the planning of a couple potential home improvement service projects: an accessible entryway for a disabled boy and an accessible bathroom for a veteran.\n\n  Another note is that our JUNE 21 & 22\, 2025 public home tour will be expanded to include outdoor projects. It will be called the Showcase of New & Remodeled Homes and Outdoor Living.\n\n\n\nThanks in advance for coming!\n\n \n\np.s. -  We will also have an After Hours Networking event immediately following the Council meeting. Join us from 5pm to 7pm at The Beer Grotto - 8059 Main Street\, Dexter (Map/Directions). Appetizers provided\, cash bar. Please RSVP for that too.
